Privacy Policy
Effective Date: January 21, 2026 • Last Updated: January 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Boulda LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit or use VerifiedID.vote (the “Service”).
Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and share information
1. Scope
This Policy applies to information collected through the Service, including when you create voting campaigns (as an “Organizer”) or submit votes (as a “Responder”).
2. Definitions
3. Information We Collect
Because the Service is designed to support eligibility checks and voting integrity, we collect and store:
- Wallet address (public blockchain address)
- Votes/responses (your selections)
- Submission metadata (e.g., timestamps, campaign identifiers)
- Anti-abuse/security signals (e.g., basic logs; see below)
Anonymous mode note: Some campaigns may be configured to show responses to Organizers without revealing the associated wallet address. Even in anonymous mode, we still record wallet addresses internally to enforce campaign rules and protect voting integrity.
Important: Wallet addresses may be considered personal data under some privacy laws because they can be linked to a person when combined with other data.
If you create campaigns, we collect:
- Campaign name/description
- Questions and answer options
- Start/end times and campaign settings
We collect basic technical logs to operate and secure the Service:
- IP address, browser type, device/OS, pages/actions, timestamps, referral URL, and error logs
At this time, we do not use advertising pixels and we do not use third-party analytics tools like Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity.
We may use strictly necessary cookies/local storage for core functionality (e.g., session, security, preferences). See Cookie Policy.
4. How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- Associate votes with wallet addresses to enforce campaign rules (e.g., one vote per wallet, eligibility);
- Verify eligibility and help prevent duplicate or abusive submissions;
- Store and display campaigns and responses as configured by Organizers;
- Monitor, prevent, and detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues;
- Improve and develop features, including user experience and performance;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
5. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA/UK, we process personal data under these legal bases:
- Contract (to provide the Service you request)
- Legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, service improvement)
- Consent (for non-essential cookies/analytics where required)
- Legal obligation (compliance, responding to lawful requests)
6. How We Share Information
Because Organizers run campaigns, Organizers can view campaign responses/results as configured for that campaign.
- Non-anonymous campaigns: Organizers may be able to view responses associated with wallet addresses.
- Anonymous campaigns: Organizers may be able to view responses/results, but we do not display the associated wallet address to the Organizer. We still record wallet addresses internally to enforce rules and protect integrity.
Organizers are responsible for how they use and handle any campaign data they can access.
We use vendors to host and operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, database, security monitoring). They may process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights and safety, and investigate or prevent abuse.
If we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell personal information.
7. Blockchain and Public Data Notice
Blockchain data (like wallet addresses and token ownership) may be publicly visible on-chain and may be immutable. Our Service may reference or verify public blockchain data, which we do not control.
8. Data Retention
We retain data as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Maintain campaign records and voting integrity
- Provide the Service and support
- Comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements
We may retain some logs longer for security and abuse prevention.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is 100% secure; you use the Service at your own risk.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, delete, or correct certain personal information, and to object to or restrict some processing.
Because votes are tied to wallet addresses for integrity and audit purposes (including campaigns where wallets are not displayed to Organizers), deletion requests may be limited where retention is necessary to prevent fraud/abuse, maintain the reliability of campaign outcomes, or comply with legal obligations.
11. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13 (and may not be intended for minors under 18 depending on jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. International Transfers
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in jurisdictions with different data protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for transfers.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last Updated” date.
